Sophie’s Mid-Year Check In
Hi friends, family, and HoneyBell supporters! Last week, London checked in with you about their first 6 months of 2023, and now it’s my turn to share how things have been going this year! I’m excited to tell you a bit about my favorite HoneyBell projects, my writing clients, and my novel progress, which have all been very important aspects of my professional life since January.
London’s Mid-Year Check In
I’m so proud of so many facets of my life this year. My studio is a pretty busy place to be, with a lot of new and exciting work. The functional work/pottery is starting to go in new interesting directions. HoneyBell has had some of the most amazing clients with different and engaging content. I started a super cool apprenticeship at the Indy Arts Council. I’ve been working on networking and meeting professionals around Indianapolis, and really enjoying learning from that community. And amidst all that, I’m planning my wedding!
Why Supporting Small Businesses Matters
When we founded HoneyBell Media in 2021, we were very clear on one thing: everyone deserves to do work that they enjoy, feel good about, are challenged by, and that pays them a livable wage. Period.
What We Learned in 2022
It might seem like a cliche, but when London and I first dreamed up HoneyBell Media in 2021, we knew that an adventure was ahead of us.
Measuring Success with Digital Marketing
When the HoneyBell Media team first sits down with new clients to talk about their goals, one of the first concerns we hear is whether they will be able to measure the success and ROI (return on investment) of our work together.
A little bit about Sophie
I’m passionate about storytelling, and that I enjoy helping people find creative ways to express themselves and their experiences. At HoneyBell, I thrive on helping my clients find the right voice for their brand and express that voice creatively and consistently across all online platforms. It’s even more rewarding that so many of the fabulous folks I’ve worked with at HoneyBell are also small business owners and that we can help support each other on this exciting journey.
A little bit about London
Sophie and I were sitting at my dining room table one day and realized that our two skillsets were intensely compatible in starting a marketing business together, and the idea of HoneyBell was sparked. Within three months, sophie was doing it full time, and within the following 6 months, so i was I. We love having friendships with the clients we choose to work with. It’s a joy to watch their businesses grow alongside ours.
Why do businesses need consultants?
We want to help. Most of what we do is advise our clients on what they should do based on their goals, and set them up with the materials to execute that plan. For some, that means setting up their shop/site so that it is optimized. For others, it means designing a deck of social media templates that they can edit and use for the lifespan of their business.
